Why a Healing Garden?
In general healing is a process that promotes overall well-being. It Is a multidimensional process which includes physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and social aspects. We will have groups who will be observing, listening, strolling, exploring as well as those participating in horticultural therapy programs, engaged with active gardening and plant propagation. Gardening provokes both physical and mental exercises. Gardens and gardening activity can also improve mental outlook and our emotional mood by reducing stress, anxiety and depression. Studies have found that gardening can lower blood pressure and cholesterol, which reduces the risk of heart disease. Today, there many suffering from terminal illness as well as stress.
